The Rio Seco Waterfall is incomparable to the rest it can be describe as one of the most attactive nature spots for an outdoor recreation. .The journey to the falls is an easy thirty-five minutes walk with a huge plunge pool ideal for swimmers.Adventuring further upstream you can discover the Sulphur Springs which is mainly sulphur deposits oozing out of the rocks into the water. Rio Seco in Spanish means dry river and as you continue to trek further upstream you will be amazed to see that the riverbed has become dry.The huge amount of water flowing down the river has disappeared underground to resurface at times in small pockets.
The hike to reach the Rio Seco’s dry bed will take two hours and continuing through the forest firstly to Salybia River then upstream to Fig Walk will take another hour.The area known as Fig Walk is a remote spot of the forest where numerous banana trees have been planted to attract wildlife and provide food for hunters.
The hike is optional and It is recommended that first time hikers enjoy the day at Rio Seco Waterfall where they will be supervised and given life jackets.
