Scheduled Date: Wednesday 29th August, 2018
Wolfe Falls is a secret gem located at the bottom of El Brasso Trace on the Arima Blanchisseuse Road. It is approximately 3km south of Morne La Croix Centre and 5km west of Brasso Seco village. The falls has a height of 50 feet, which cascades into a shallow basin. Wolfe Falls can be accessed from two routes. The first is from Brasso Seco and the other is from Morne La Croix. In the early 1900’s when cocoa was the dominant crop and before the Paria Morne Bleu Road built the route to Brasso Seco/Paria Village was from El Brasso Trace. Today this road is seldom used and many areas have overgrown shrub.
The hike starts from the Morne la Croix Village Centre where easy parking is available and the walk to the falls is south along the Arima Blanchisseuse Road to El Brasso Trace. The walk continues downhill for another 30 minutes to the river. The falls situated 20 minutes upstream at the head of the valley.
