This stunning 2½-hour coastal trek guides you past towering rock formations carved by the Atlantic Ocean, eventually opening into a sprawling golden-sand beach. Here, you'll discover a rare waterfall spilling directly onto the shore, cementing Canary Bay as one of the island's ultimate hidden gems.
Prepare for the ultimate challenge: a brutal yet beautiful 14-mile trek starting at the Lady Chancellor Entrance, cutting right through Maraval, Santa Cruz, and Cantaro.
Our journey culminates across the breathtaking peaks before rapidly descending onto the pristine sands of Maracas Bay.
The Guanapo River has carved a spectacular deep limestone canyon into the mountains. This is one of Trinidad's most unique geological wonders, accessible only by foot.
We'll wade and swim through the towering gorge walls, exploring hidden pools and ancient rock formations. It's a surreal, immersive experience where the jungle meets the water in a narrow, sun-dappled canyon.
This is Hikeathon Training Hike #2 — a gruelling 19-mile cross-country expedition starting at Guanapo Quarry and finishing at Spring Bridge, Blanchisseuse. Four legs. Unstoppable terrain.
The route cuts through Lalaja, the El Cerro/Lalaja Bypass, and emerges at the north coast near Paria Waterfall. Transport is included — this is an all-in experience built to prepare you for race day.

The Yarra Gorge carves a breathtaking passage through the hills above Maracas Bay. This is a river adventure — expect wading, scrambling over rocks, and swimming through cool natural pools.
A 60-minute upstream journey into a hidden slice of Trinidad's rainforest interior. Fair difficulty means accessible to most fit hikers, but the experience is anything but ordinary.
Take Island Hikers across the water for a weekend on Tobago's trails. Three guided hikes, each ending somewhere you'll want to stay: the rainforest ridge down to Bloody Bay, the coves at Big Bay and Little Bay, and the walk from Jesus Hill down to Arnos Vale Beach.
Friday: Gilpin Trail down to Bloody Bay (one-way). Saturday: Big Bay & Little Bay from Culloden. Sunday: Jesus Hill to Arnos Vale Beach. Join one hike or do all three.
Start under the Bamboo Cathedral at Macqueripe, where the bamboo arches overhead like the roof of a church, then push on through the forest of the Chaguaramas hills to Bagatelle.
This is a loop, rated 6 (challenging), with 5 to 6 hours of hiking there and back. Bring plenty of water, snacks and good shoes. Parking at Macqueripe Car Park is $20.
A Sunday hike to one of the north coast's hidden coves. Climb up to Maracas Road, then drop down to Pichon Cove to explore the beach, the waterfall and the cave.
About 1 hour 30 minutes of hiking, rated 4 (moderately challenging). Kids 7 and up are welcome at $40. Secure parking is available at the residence for $25.
The Lady Chancellor Hill Challenge starts at the bottom of Lady Chancellor and climbs the Chancellor Road to the Chancellor Lookout. From the WASA Tanks the route pushes up the Breezy Hill Trail to the Pines and on to Maraval Peak at 1,890ft / 576m.
From the peak the trail drops in a steep descent to the Pillars, then returns to Lady Chancellor by the same route — 10 miles of climbing, ridgeline and descent. Every finisher earns a medal of achievement.
This is not a regular weekend hike—this is a test of endurance. Spanning 18km across three distinct valleys, the route kicks off at Verdant Vale, pushes through Lopinot, crosses into Caura, and finishes strong in St Joseph.

Escape the city and head deep into Trinidad's Northern Range for a full 5-day camping experience at "Cocoa Palace", Gomez Trace, Brasso Seco Village. This is Island Hikers' most immersive adventure yet — rivers, gorges, hidden waterfalls, and dense rainforest, all from one extraordinary basecamp.
The weekend brings two back-to-back hikes: Saturday takes you along the Madamas River to discover hidden waterfalls, while Sunday reveals the legendary Seven Sisters Gorge & Pools — a stunning cascade of natural pools carved into ancient rock. Food is self-catering or catered by Palmer on request.
One of Trinidad's most exciting and popular hiking experiences, the Avocat Waterfall River Adventure begins at Spring Bridge. The journey ascends steadily to the ridgeline before descending into the river valley, where a narrow tributary leads adventurers to the breathtaking entrance of the falls — approximately one hour of pure rainforest immersion.
From the waterfall, the adventure continues downstream to the famous Three Pools. Along the route, expect scenic gorges, crystal-clear swimming pools, rock jumping, and an exhilarating natural waterslide. For those preferring a relaxed day, there is also the option to spend the day at Three Pools while the group explores upstream.
